Hole In The Wall Mini Cupcakes

Arctic Bear!

~Arctic Bear!~

I love hole-in-the-wall eateries. Something about the personality of small places where you can have a quiet conversation with the owner/chef/waiter/cashier. Or maybe it's the closest I can come to blowing up a wall and getting to the secret room to find that heart piece.

So I was super-excited when Cato came home saying there was a hole-in-the-wall cupcake place with crazy stuff inside. The place is called Baked by Melissa and is literally a window in the wall, with a person inside, and a wall of cupcakes. The place is on Spring St between Mercer and Broadway so if you're anywhere near New York City definitely check it out. But be warned! These cupcakes are mini cupcakes. Mega expensive mini cupcakes. The more cupcakes you buy, the cheaper they get (10 bucks gets you a dozen), but they're about the size of a pack of Nerds. Just one for the price of two McDonald's apple pies. Or three for the price of a fawdie.

Melissa says her reasoning is so that you don't feel the after-eating guilt or some stupid girl thing like that. Really. After-eating guilt. How do you feel guilty after eating? Maybe I'm weird, but after eating a meal I feel full.

Ultimately, those cupcakes were ridiculously good. Mad overpriced, so I suggest getting a big group together and purchase the 100 for 70$ deal, then feast.
